Since his rise to fame back in 2015 after winning rap competion “Vuzu Hustle”, Big Star has become a force to ve reckon with in the SA Hip Hop scene.
While the rapper gears up to unleash his debut album “Me & Mines” on the 24 August, the rapper has now clinched a new licensing deal with Warner Music.
“‘Me & Mines’ is about to bless the nation with some variety. And signing a licensing deal with Warner allows me to make these ideas I got a reality. Above all else, I’m most looking forward to meeting my daughter for the first time and seeing the world react to the type of music I love making.” said the rapper about his new deal.
Warner South Africa also expressed their excitement of Star coming on board. “We are thrilled that Bigstar Johnson has chosen Warner Music South Africa as his home. He is such a talented artist and an even better human being. The album is spectacular, we can’t wait for the world to hear it,” says Tracy Fraser, MD of Warner Music South Africa.
