AKA scheduled to perform with a 30-piece orchestra

Local rapper AKA has announced that he will be hosting a one-night only concert where he’ll be performing with a 30-piece orchestra.

The concert is set to take place on March 17 at the Sun Arena at the Times Square Casino in Pretoria east, making it the first in the South African music scene.

The “Fela in Versace” hitmaker will perform all the greatest hits from his three albums Altar Ego, Levels and Touch My Blood.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce my concert at the Sun Arena on the 17th of March LIVE with a 30 piece Orchestra and band,” he said.

“I believe now, with 3 classic solo albums done and dusted, the time is right. #AKAOrchestraOnTheSquare Tickets available @Computicket .”

AKA announces the news of the concert following his win at the Soundcity MVP Awards last Saturday, where he won Best Hip Hop. Tickets for #AKAOrchestraOnTheSquare go on sale today and will cost between R200 to R420.
