The Xenophobic attacks that took place in the country have prompted more negative backlash from Nigerian musicians.
The “African Giant” singer, Burna Boy also joined the conversation around the Xenephobic attacks against foreign nationals taking place in South Africa. The singer who has previously collaborated with AKA on hit singles like “All Eyes On Me” & “Baddest” expressed his feelings on the matter in a series of tweets.
On one of the Tweets, Burna seemingly cancels AKA after seeing the comments he made following South Africa losing to Nigeria during the Nations Cup. While on his Twitter rant, Burna Boy also pledged with MI Abaga to not throw his respect out the window.
And @MI_Abaga it’s Fuck @akaworldwide from now on. And if you down with him, it’s Fuck you too. I respect you too much, please Don’t throw my respect out the window cuz I swear you will fly out with it.

Mi Abaga replied to Burna’s plea advocating for “One Africa” and also added that the Supa Mega’s comments were taken out of context.
Also.. I can speak honestly in saying my bro @akaworldwide loves Nigeria.. taken out of context his tweets can be misinterpreted.. however he loves and respects Naija!!!
